Terms of Use

1. Who runs this service

This instance is operated by Emerson Silva (contact: ti.emerson.silva@gmail.com). santi itself is open-source software released under the MIT or Apache 2.0 license, at your option; those licenses cover the code, and these terms cover your use of this hosted instance.

2. The laws we follow

Being open source does not put this service above the law. It follows Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Lei 13.709/2018), the Marco Civil da Internet (Lei 12.965/2014) and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Nothing in these terms takes away a right those laws or the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Lei 8.078/1990) give you.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

Use santi to plan and track work. Do not:

Found a security problem? Report it privately as described in SECURITY.md in the project repository; good-faith reports are welcome.

5. Your content

Everything you create or import stays yours. You give the operator only the permission needed to store it, show it to the members of your projects and make backups. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you import, including data about other people in it.

6. Your data

You can export your data or delete your account at any time from the account page; the Privacy Policy explains what is kept and for how long.

7. A free service in beta

This instance is offered free of charge for testing, "as is". There is no service level agreement during the beta: it may be slow or offline at times, features may change, and data could be lost in a failure, so export anything you cannot afford to lose. We will announce in the app, with reasonable notice, if this instance is going to shut down, so you can export your data first.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using santi and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Unless the law or an urgent risk prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond and to export your data.

9. Liability

santi is provided without warranties, as its open-source license says. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect losses or for data lost when the service fails. Where the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code or other mandatory law applies, its protections prevail over this section.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will show a notice in the app at least 15 days before the new version applies, except for changes required by law. Each version has a date; your account records the version you accepted, and the app asks you to accept a new version before you continue.

11. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes go to the courts of São Paulo/SP, Brasil, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to go to the courts where you live.
